In order to make the build easier it's important to prepare all the small parts like windows and doors in advance before the full assembly of the house ....here are the
windows painted cream.
And the doors which I've stained in 'light oak'

Hi Kath, just been viewing this blog and your work is wonderful. I have just started Fairbanks and found the windows in the bay a nightmare. I did not realise the panes did not come out of the bay to paint, so masked every window inside and out as my hubby wanted to spray them for a nice finish.When the time came to remove the tape (low tack) it had left a sticky mess and paint had weeped under....how is a mystery!
ReplyDeleteOh well I have a lot of cleaning to get them up to scratch - next time I will hand paint them all.
